I keep reading how low VOC levels is in indication of a paint's environmental friendly credentials. Not so! It's possible to have a paint which is full of toxic chemicals and have low VOC.

Eco Paint Review – Earthborn Pro Aqua Eggshell

Pro aqua eggshell by Earthborne is an interior and exterior water based eggshell paint for wood. Although it can be used for exterior work, I don't, I prefer to use oil based product instead such as Holkham linseed oil paint or Osmo opaque wood stain. I do intent to do some exterior testing but I'll be the guinea pig and test it with my own home.

Lining Paper, Do You Need It?

Many a time, when on interior decorating jobs, I find myself removing loose
lining paper. What often starts off with a loose corner ends up with the
removal of all the paper. When the paper is off, I often I can't see a reason why lining paper was used in the first place.
