This is not a comprehensive list of paint stores but rather the places I use and recommend.

Brewers - follow link for map of all their stores. All the Brighton & Hove stores have free parking. They have a wide and varied stock of paints and tools. The one on New England Street is the biggest and best and also has a wide range of wall papers.

Biofa - renown manufacturers of natural and eco coating materials. Store located at: 45 Gloucester St, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 4EW. Tel: 01273 685800.

Farrow & Ball - manufacturers of some of the finest paint in the world! Most of their paint is classed as eco. The staff in the shop are very friendly and helpful. Store located at: 31B Western Road, Hove. Tel: 01273 774640.

Dulux Decorator Centre - not surprisingly it's cheaper to buy Dulux paint from here than it is at Brewers and they sell other brands of paint mainly those owned by Imperial Chemical Industries as Dulux is. Store located at: 12 Richmond Parade, Brighton,
